Weightlifting

Weightlifting - a discipline of heavy athletics, consisting of a player lifting a barbell of a certain weight. It is an Olympic discipline in 1896, 1904 and from 1920 to today. Weightlifting is performed by two techniques - snatch and clean and jerk. • Breaking involves lifting the bar from the platform directly above the head in the squat and straightening the position while keeping the weight above the head in straight hands. Competitors performing this sport keep the barbell in the so-called wide handle. • A throw is a style in which the competitors lift (throw) the barbell first onto the chest and then the so-called "Breaking the mountain", i.e. lifting the bar above the head. Each competitor has the right to three attempts in each competition.
